About Chisinau Criterium

Chisinau Criterium is a major cycling race, organized by Sporter.md, ridding on the central streets of Chisinau, capital of Republic of Moldova.

The first competitions were held in September 2014 with the support of the Moldovian Cycling Federation, and from 2015 are included in the Official calendar of sports events by the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Moldova.

In 2015 the rules of the competition have changed and simplified, particularly for anyone willing to participate in the race, regardless of readiness.

Date of event – Mai 28, 2017

Chisinau Criterium 2017 will run in the race with two distances to choose – 30 km and 60 km. The athlete must cover the distance of 30 km in 1 hour 25 minutes, or 60 km in 2 hours 50 minutes. 

300 MDL – registration from March 15 to April 15

400 MDL – registration from April 16 to May 21

Registration for the bicycle race Criterium closes on May 21

The race participants can come up with any type of bicycle. Helmets are obligatory!

The race winner is the sportsman who reaches the finish line first in the final distance circle.

The results are registered by a professional timing system.

For those who are not ready yet to try competing powers, we will organize VELO FUN – covering the distance of 15 km in Chisinau radius with any type of bicycle.

The column will be accompanied by a convoy of marshals and patrol cars. Participation in this race is free.
